Scott Bio
Scott grew up outside of Philadelphia were his father was a pastor and mother was an elementary school teacher. After graduating from High school Scott attended Taylor University in Upland IN, where he received a BA in both Psychology and Christian Education. He then received a Masters of Divinity Degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky. In December of 2008 Scott received a second Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in Sarasota Florida.
Before coming to Florida Scott directed one of the largest camps on the East coast, Camp Sandy Hill and was the Program Director at Sandy Cove Resort and Convention Center. After moving to Florida Scott built one of the largest Youth Groups in the State of Florida with over 500 students, 50 volunteer leaders and 3 colleges offering classes in his program. Scott has taught in the area of Student Ministry and leadership training in schools and conferences in the US and around the World. In the fall of 1999 with help of four couples Scott started FreshStart Church a non-denominational Church that currently meets in Oldsmar Florida. In January of 2009 Scott started The TEEN’S COACH, PA offering coaching and counseling for teens, parents, adults, couples and families; with offices in Tampa and Dunedin.
Scott lives with his wife Lori in Tampa Florida. They have 3 grown children and one child who still lives at home. Scott has had personal experiences with divorce, blending a family, loss of family members, and parenting teenagers, which provide him with a special sensitivity to many of the issues you face.
